We are fortunate to have direct links into the Yorkshire Dales,
the North East and Northumberland.
Cumbria is to the west across the A66,
and many popular coastal towns are an hour to the east.
Richmond is our closest market town, with Thirsk, Northallerton, Ripon, Barnard Castle
Yarm and Harrogate close by.
The area is very popular with walkers and cyclists.
The Coast to Coast walk literally passes us by (Scorton and Brompton on Swale).

The City of York with historic York Minster, and the Shambles is less than an hour south.
The cultural City of Newcastle is under an hour north with it's Cathederal, contemporary art gallery 'The Baltic', and The Sage (Gateshead).

Local markets are held weekly, and there is one near by on most days! Richmond market day is Saturday, or just 5 minutes away there is the huge market on Catterick Race Course every Sunday throughout the year. Thirsk market is on Mondays, Northallerton Wednesdays and Saturdays.
